Busy. Busy, Busy

Okay, so as you can see I've been busy creating.
And why is that?... Because I have decided to open an Etsy Shop.
After repeated convincing from family and friends to sell my handmade mini books and things, I decided to give it a try.

For those who have never heard of Etsy it’s an on-line store similar to Ebay but all items are handmade or vintage. It is not an auction like ebay and no waiting for bidding to end.
I have been busy making things to stock my shop – I only had 12 items made when - cha-ching - I made my first sale!
I originally named the shop Blue Apple Noteables but was advised (by the instructor of an Etsy course I am taking) to change the name as there were two other Blue Apple variations on Etsy. So after wracking my brain all week and input from others my name has officially been changed to ‘Sapphire Noteables’.
Sapphires are considered  precious  – as are the photos kept in scrapbooks. Also it is my birthstone AND my daughter and I BOTH had sapphires and diamonds in our wedding rings – so Sapphire has special meaning to me
The Noteables is self explanatory as I sell note books and note cards. Yeah I know because of that I spelled it with an 'e' which I was advised against (by the course instructor). Maybe it'll bite me down the road but that's a chance I'm willing to take. I like it as is and if I become rich and famous (wishful thinking) from it then that's great but if not then my life is already rich as is.
Famous? - nah - not for me!
So pour yourself a cup of tea or glass of wine and have a peek into my Etsy life.

More Notebooks

I love these little notebooks! They hold a 4x4 paperpad (so a bit bigger than a post-it note) and a mini pen is attached, They're big enough to be thrown in your purse or the glove box of your car - or in my case, my wheelchair bag! They also make a cute little gift.
The first one I made using Graphic 45 'Romantique' paper. Inside the front cover I put a pocket with a couple of little tags in. I used rose chiffon ribbon on the front (is it Websters Pages who makes it?) and some lace and pearls. I attached a mini gel pen. So cute and pretty!

The next one I used paper from Stampin Up. Forget the name offhand - Blueberry something.I love the weathered look of it. For this one I made it a 1/2 longer and added the mini pen to the inside covering the holder in burlap. On the inside cover I again added a pocket for tickets. coupons or whatever.
I kept the outside plain with just some ric rac then popped up a chipboard bird that I sprayed with various colours of glimmer mist.

I'm having fun using up my stash and discovering papers that have been lonely for way too long!
